BEDA Day 4: Internet friends

In todays blog I wanted to say a little bit about internet friends. If you have any social network site that is based around meeting or talking to new people then you'll know that you can meet some amazing people on the world wide web. I just want to put my thoughts about them out here...

Our generation are special because we are living through the internet age. More and more people are discovering the greatness of the internet; sites like twitter have enabled us to find and have relationships with new people. I feel like that is what the internet has become: a place to meet new people. I love this so much because it literally lets us be friends with people we may never meet and probably would definitely not talk to if we weren't on the internet. That is what is so special about our generation, we are living the change. I wonder if it will be normal for our children to have internet friends; I hope so!

Personally I have talked to many people over the internet but so far I have only ever become very close to one person. I met a boy who lives in America on Twitter and we talked and messaged a lot on facebook, I don't know why, we just got on and it was a purely friendship based relationship, it was great! We talked a lot and just generally got to know each other. However, about a year ago he disappeared from twitter and facebook. He just disappeared over night. After a few days he emailed me and said that his mum made him delete his social network sites because she freaked out about him having international friends. But he still wanted to keep in touch so we emailed for a few months. It was good, we were friends and talked every day. It sounds weird to write it down but it was just part of my day, he became a part of my life. After a few months, however, he suddenly stopped emailing. I emailed him asking what had happened many times and he was still updating his flickr so I know he was still alive/had internet but there was no response. I gave up emailing him when I changed my email address. But I miss him. Like I said, he was a friend. I think that may have meant more to me than it did to him but I still thought he considered me a friend. I don't know, I guess one of the bad things about internet friends is that it is very easy for them to cut contact with you (but that could be a good thing). Bottom line: I wish we never lost contact but I don't know what to do about it.

That wasn't really the best story to use to demonstrate the greatness of internet friendship but it's the only complete internet friendship I've made so far. However, that is slowly changing thanks to Team StarKid. Being a StarKid has changed a lot for me, as you know, but most importantly it has given me a whole fandom to talk to. I am part of an amazing facebook group of StarKid fans that just support each other. It is basically a big family; it started off as something that was given to the StarKids at LeakyCon and then turned into us just talking to each other. It is one of the best things I have ever joined. Luckily, I haven't had to but I know that there are people there who I can talk to if I need to; I've seen it happen with others. Also, tumblr has introduced me to some amazing people who I think (hope) will become very good friends.

This was a bit of a weird blog but I just wanted to put that out there.

My head.

So, my last blog was pathetic. I had planned to do a big recap of everything that happened but it got late so I just wrote some rubbish down and put some pictures in. Sorry. So, I'm going to to a promcap (yes, I'm a nerd and that makes me happy). As most girls did, I spent the whole day getting ready. I basically relaxed until 2pm when we went to the hairdressers to get my hair done (well duh) which was fun. I was a bit iffy because I didn't bother with make up and lenses so I was looking bad and was blind. But it was all good. I actually love how my hair worked out in the end! After the hairdressers my mum went and picked my friend, Sally, up so that she could get ready at ours. We did our make up and got in our dresses on etc. together and it was really fun! By the time Sally and I were done our other friends were arriving and getting ready. We had picture times and then, at 6:30 our limo arrived. We went out and had another picture time before getting into the limo and having an hours fun raving (ey oh we're in a limo) we arrived at the hotel that prom was held at. By the way, getting out of a limo is fun when you're in a floor length dress, all part of the fun I guess! After another, shorter, picture time we headed inside where most of our year was already there but that was okay. After a few minutes we were told to go in and take our seats which we did (we were on table 11, in case you were wondering) and we began our meal. Loads of people last year complained about the food but everyone on our table thought it was great! After some lolz (Brioni commenting on how cute our waiter was when he was right there and Prince Harry serving people) the meal was over and the dancing/queuing for pictures started. After waiting for ages we got some professional photographs and giving up on buying one because the que for that was huge and cramped and we can get them on the website we gave up and went for a bit of a dance. Dancing is pretty hard in heels and long dresses so after doing the macarena we went and collapsed in seats. We took some photos, danced a bit more (reach for the stars and a steps song came on , we couldn't resist) and laughed at (drunk) teachers dancing. It was a good night! We were one of the few groups who got a limo back home so once the last song was played we went out to look for our limwo. Another, shorter this time, rave and we were home! The two boys in our group went home and us girls had a sleepover. I actually didn't want to get out of the limo/out of my dress by the end of the night but it had to be done. We actually slept more at a sleepover than we have before and it was kind of fun. Just being with my best friends was great!

I had to write all that out because I really never want to forget that night. I've kind of got this irrational fear of forgetting it so I wrote it all down here just to be sure...

Also, on Thursday I got Julia Albain's book (A Glamorously Unglamorous Life) in the post but couldn't read it because I had to get on and get ready. I finished it on Friday though and it's amazing! I recommend it to everyone, even if you're not a StarKid it's definitely worth reading! I can't get over how amazing she is, she has inspired me so much: I am now more motivated to do things and not just sit here and do nothing. It also made me want to write a lot more. The book stemmed from the blog she kept while in New York and that has made me want to write on here even more. I don't think I can explain how I feel about her book properly but I'm trying! She has had the best experiences and has the best friends and I kind of feel like if I have half of the experiences she had in NY I will have a good life and learn a lot. I just hope I can have the opportunity to learn as much as she did! I am planning on writing her an email to tell her how amazing she is but I'm not sure quite how to without sounding creepy or gushing too much. I'll work it out!

It is seriously the ultimate StarKid thing. Denise Donovan has already seen it and I think they all need to see it! It basically sums up exactly how I feel about Team StarKid. Just the whole thing is just wow. I love this fandom too much for words. I think I can honestly say that Team StarKid have changed my life.

In news slightly related to that, I have started Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone. I gave up on To Kill a Mockingbird because it was overdue at the library and I felt bad and wasn't enjoying it. I might pick it up again sometime but for now I'm starting on Harry Potter! I'm really getting into the book at the moment and I can't wait to watch the films! My friends will definitely be proud!

I've mentioned it before in my blog but I'm going to really explain it today because I feel like it's kind of special. So in our garden we have a cherry tree, some raspberry bushes (I think they're bushes) and a blackcurrant bush. This year we've had A LOT of fruit from them and I've actually really enjoyed picking it! I don't know what it is, there's just something about being outside as a lovely summer's day is ending picking fruit that has been grown in your garden. It just feels good. The fruit's nice as well, so that's a bonus! I hope I can have a nice garden with fruit trees in when I'm settled down in my own house with a family etc. I guess it's one of those things I want my kids to have...

As you can tell from the title, this blog really was just what is in my head at the moment. But I guess that's my blog! It is called a teenager talking to herself after all!

Today was awesome because: I didn't really do anything! I need these days every now and again.
Yesterday was awesome because: I went into Jane Norman which has gone into liquidation and so had a sale on and they just had really loud music playing. It kind of felt like a goodbye party. Don't ask me why, but it made me smile.

So, I've not been posting much for a few days. Mostly because I couldn't be bothered but also because I have nothing to say. I just don't have anything to blog about really, but I feel like I should blog, so I am...
Knowing me though, I'll probably find a lot to say in this blog, because my mind seems to explode like that sometimes.

So, I'm going to do a prom update because it's next week and I have quite a lot of news! Today I had my practice prom hair appointment and I'm happy with it! I have a picture that I'll post at the end of this paragraph, so I now know how my hair is going to be, good times. Also, today the prom dress shop called to say that my dress is ready! Yayayayayayayayyyy! I'm going in tomorrow to pick it up. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, but a few weeks ago I had my fitting and all the alterations are done now! So, we're going to pick it up tomorrow some time, fun times! I can't believe that prom is a week on Thursday! That's like soon and stuff. I know. Mid = blown.

Anyway, what else have I been up to recently? Not much really, I don't actually have to do anything so I'm not doing that much really. Mainly I've been on the laptop creeping on StarKids and what-not. StarKid has pretty much taken over my life right now. As of today I have 2 fanfictions partly written. I tried to carry on with an old one today but I just wasn't in the mood I guess, it just wasn't going well so I gave up because it wasn't going anywhere. I decided to try starting another one but that didn't go that well either. So I guessI wasn't in the fanfic writing mood today.

I have been seriously creeping on the StarKids recently, probably a bad passtime but it's far to enjoyable to give up! It's probably bad all round but I just kind of want to be them a lot and that doesn't help. So, yeah, I think I need to see my friends more!

Also, I'm kinda loving tumblr a lot right now, seriously it's awesome. Just sayin'

I haven't blogged in a couple of days, mainly because I have bee on tumblr a lot (sorry). I got tumblr a while ago and liked it but moved to here because I prefered this kind of blog. But then I went on tumblr and saw the AMAZING StarKid stuff on there. As you almost definitely know, I am completely and utterly obsessed with StarKid. I saw some of these great StarzKid blogs and thought I'd have a look. Now I'm obsessed. There is so much amazing stuff on there. There are SO many StarKid blogs, with SO much good stuff on there. That is the reason my blog it titled I reblog a lot, because I reblog A LOT of stuff. I also put screen shots from my iPod up there. But I won't be abandoning this blog. For me, tumblr is about amazing pictures and gifs and blogspot is about good writing and recording my life. So I am obsessed with tumblr but promise to stay on here!

These past few days I haven't done anything and I'm loving it! I had my last GCSE on Wednesday and the end of the exam was the. best. feeling. ever. I love not having to revise and haven't got to the bored stage yet, so it's all good! I have been entertained with fangirling over StarKid and am probably going to start writing some fanfic because I love reading Tup fanfic so much. I will post updates about it on here soon.

Tonight I am doing the Starlight walk. This is a midnight walk that the hospice my dad was in that is either half a marathon (I think). So, to do this I need to still have energy to walk a lot at midnight which should be fun. Luckily, being off school has messed up my sleeping a bit so staying up shouldn't be too bad, the hard part will be not being a zombie. That is always hard. But hopefully it will be okay, I'll be with others so I might be okay. I don't know...

These past few days I have found myself wishing I could have got into the things I am into now a lot earlier. I wish I could be a PotterHead now. I've read the books but not seen all the movies and can't really remember much of the books. That is why I plan to read them this summer, after that I want to watch the films. I think I'm going to do that with my friends as some of them are PotterHeads. I wish I had found StarKid a lot earlier because then I may have become closer to more people earlier. I don't know, I just wish I could have been cooler earlier I guess. Oh well, maybe it's better that I found out now, now I have interesting things to do over the summer!

In these past few days I have sent off 2 things that will be given to StarKid. That's amazing. It means that TeamStarKid will know I exist. That's just wow. I really hope we get to see a response to them! I think both of the things I've contributed to are going to be totally awesome (sorry, I couldn't resist). They are both things that are going to be given/sent to the StarKid crew with a lot of fans' opinions/things they want to say to StarKid. So, I think these things are great :D

A Very StarKid Blog...for once.

Yes, I am obsessed. Very obsessed. My life has kind of become a mix of revision and StarKid and nothing much else. That's mainly why I haven't blogged much, because I haven't got much to say! These past few days (actually, more like nearly a week now, wow) I have just been revising and watching stuff on YouTube. I guess I have found a lot more ways to get involved with the StarKid community.
StarKid things I have discovered in the past few days:

• The Bully Book (AWESOME)
• The live chat they did with RedVines
• The amazing StarKidness that exists on tumblr (WOW)
• Starkid (mainly Taz and Up) fan fiction 

I think I talked a bit about The Bully Book on my last blog, I guess it hadn't come out yet and I was excited about it. Well, it came out and I read it in 2 days. It is kind of amazing. If you can you should check it out! For some reason its listed as a children's book but I disagree with that, I think it is good for all ages! Maybe that's just my opinion but, oh well! I literally finished The Bully Book on the morning of my maths exam on Friday. I got ready and sat in the living room reading for as long as I could leave it. It turns out that is the perfect amount of time to finish the book! 

On Thursday there was a live "fireside chat" with TeamStarKid. It was at 6:30pm their time but 00:30 UK time so I ended up downloading the UStream app on my iPod Touch and stayed up reading The Bully Book until it was time to watch it. Which I did, half asleep. Thankfully it was only half an hour long, I expected it to be a lot longer but I'm kind of glad it wasn't because I don't think I could have stayed up much longer, after I had managed to wake up at 4:30am that morning. Clever me. So, that was awesome! I have watched it a few more times on the YouTubes because the sound was out of sync. So, I was shattered from that for a while!

In the past few days I have found the amazing StarKid community on tumblr. Seriously, the stuff on there is amazing! There is a fuck yeah for literally every StarKid and the things posted on there are so great its unbelievable! Just, wow! Through one of these tumblrs I have found the amazingness that is fan fiction. I found the whole think on the fuckyeahtazandup tumblr. The fan fiction with Taz and Up is just amazing! They are probably one of the best couples in StarKid history. I don't care that Lauren and Joe say that Taz and Up have a platonic relationship, they will always be in love in my head! Sorry, but they will! 

This is basically just my rantings about StarKid. As you can tell now, I am completely OBSESSED with TeamStarKid. They just seem like these amazing people and I wish so much that I'd have found out about their supermegafoxyawesomehot-ness earlier. Only StarKid can make people fall in love with Voldemort, make people feel sorry for a dick and get people to love bugs. Seriously, if my ramblings about them don't make you check them out, I don't know what will!

I may have to shut up now, I have spouted enough rubbish for one night.

My 102nd Blog

I just noticed that I missed my 100th blog! I'm quite gutted! I literally saw it go from 95th to 99th blog and planned to announce my 100th blog but, of course, I missed it! Thats just what happens to me! So, I'm just making a point that this is my 102nd blog!

So, I feel like I haven't blogged in ages so I feel like I should update you on my life. Not much has really happened since Friday but, you know, I'm going to tell you all the boring stuff! Saturday and Sunday were boring revision days, nothing to report there. Yesterday (Monday) was an okayish day, I had a maths exam at 1pm so me and a few friends went into school to revise for a bit before the exam.Well, we planned to revise, it didn't work out to well. So, instead of revision we walked up to the shop/chippy near school and hung round in our friend's old form room for a bit before heading to the exam. It was quite fun, just being with my friends. Today, I had a Physics exam at 1 again and didn't bother going in early, I just went in for the exam. Both the exams were okayish, they could have been worse! I kind of like going in for these exams because it gives me a way to see my friends and talk to them and stuff. I actually miss school because of the people. It was so weird on Monday, being in school but not having a set time to be in a set place all the time. It was weird but I guess I'll have to get used to it!

In other, StarKid, news: I'm obsessed! I literally haven't stopped watching StarKid stuff when I'm not revising! Plus, I have converted Chloe, one of my best friends, into a StarKid! I love converting people into StarKids, its the best! Wow, I overuse exclamation marks when talking about StarKid. Today is kind of a big day for StarKid today, they have a book coming out! The book is a bit of a mystery in itself and its coming out at 6pm cst, which is midnight here in the UK. Unfortunately, I'm unable to stay up tonight because I need to get up early to go into school for (actual) revision tomorrow. But I'm actually really excited about it! I know its an e book so I won't need to order anything! Ahhh, excitement is making me not make sense! Basically, i'm obsessed with StarKid, the Bully Book is coming out today and I'm re watching AVPM/AVPS in honor of the Bully Book coming out!


Today was awesome because: I literally saw water evaporating off the path while going for a walk with my mommy.

Celebration day.

Today was our kind of official last day, or our celebration day. Basically, its a day to dress up and be silly and celebrate the fact that high school is nearly over for us! It was very emotional and I cried several times, mostly because one of my best friends won't be going to the same college as the rest of our friends next year. Also, one of my best friends wrote a really really lovely paragraph thing (I keep trying to call them posts, internet obsessed much?) that made me cry without even reading it properly. I just knew it would make me cry from the look on his face when he was writing it. He is seriously one of the sweetest, kindest guys I know! I'm so glad we're going to the same college next year! Okay, end of gushing. Today was so fun, me and my friends dressed up as angels and I think we looked really good! At the end of the day we had a big concert where the teachers and some students performed. I literally signed yearbooks and took pictures all day! I don't think I'll be doing much tomorrow either, oh the joys of finishing school!

In other news, I am still very very obsessed with StarKid and have basically been revising and watching YouTube for the past few days. Oh how fun my life is! I don't really have much to say now...so I'm going to leave you with some pitures of today...ENJOY!

I have a new, probably unhealthy obsession

My day today has mainly revolved around revision and watching Team StarKid videos on YouTube. Yes, that is my obsession. I feel like I need to make up for not finding out about their awesomeness earlier! If you don't know who they are then just search A Very Potter Musical on YouTube and prepare to become obsessed! Seriously, I cannot describe how amazing they are. I'm just fangirling all over everywhere now.

Just in case you don't look them up (probably because you're crazy) I'm just going to do a short introduction type thing to them. Basically, they are the totally awesome minds that created AVPM, AVPS, MAMD and Starship. If you don't know these plays then you need to! Darren Criss (now in Glee as Blaine) is one of the founding members of the company and he writes all the songs in their plays. Now, if that isn't enough awesome for you, the rest of the company are all super talented and super funny!

Okay, promoting is (kind of) over now.

The point of this is the fact that these guys (and girls) have kind of taken over my life recently. I have this habit of becoming obsessed with things and this is my new obsession. That was probably one of the most state the obvious things I have ever said but, you know, thats what I do! Also, I officially want to go to Pigfarts and meet Rublerawr!

• Joey Richter (Ron and the guy I have the biggest crush on at the moment)

• Darren Criss (damn that G.L.E.E. always making twisted abominations of everything)
• Jaime Lyn Beatty (Ginny and one of the funniest people in the world)

 I may have been watching StarKid related videos for most of this Saturday...
Oops.

Oh well! Its a good way to spend "the last day on earth" right?

I forgot until about that until just now. I seem to have lived through the first end of the world scare in my lifetime (that I can remember) so I see that as an accomplishment. I never believed this judgement day scare thing. If you hear a little bit about this guy who predicted it and have any sense in the world you can tell its a load of hogus bogus. This guy has used "maths from the bible" to predict the end of the world and judgement day. So, apparently today at 6pm (no idea what time zone) God was coming down to judge everyone and take all the good people up to heaven with him and everyone else would stay here on Earth for a few months in hell before the world was ended in October. Cool. Its currently 10pm in England and well into Sunday in Australia and places around there and if it has happened then hell looks a lot like Earth. It's not hot or anything! Fun times.

So, in conclusion, I am very very obsessed with StarKid Productions and the world was meant to end (kind of) today but didn't. Also, I like brackets and if you got any of the references in here your totally awesome!
